guest592927 Chinese people prefer to give their best blessings to their families, relatives and friends during the Spring Festival. I found out that some people preferred to say “祝你在新的一年里龙马精神”. I know it is a blessing but can’t understand what 龙马精神 means.

Dragon and Horse’s Spirit? I am not sure. Can you explain it to me?

Don’t laugh at me. I am just a beginner.

龙马精神(Long ma jing shen) is used to describe the vigour of a dragon or horse -- vigorous spirit of the aged or full of vigour [vitality]. When someone says this phrase, he hopes you will be as energetic in the new year and have everything goes well.

GUESTOCEAN.HK Dragon and hourse are lively, high spirited creatures. Jing shen refers to one's spirit. It's a blessing, wish one good/high spirits usually on some occasion.
