| Can anyone tell me if you have to have a basic travel Allowance to travel to Australia from China on a tourist visa, i have been told you have to have a minumin of $5000. to travel before you can get on a flight from Guanghou international airport.A person i wont mention tells me i have send her this money or the officals at airport wont let her on flight,it sounds a bit of a scan to me,please can you help.Morgo. |

| It is sometimes true that a visa is not granted unless you can prove sufficient funds. You can also be turned down by immigration on arrival for the same reason. But the only check that I am aware of at the departure airport is that the traveller must have a return or onward flight. This is applied by the airline as they are liable and fined if you don't have it and you are denied entry. I would say the person telling you this is 'mistaken' (!) |
