guestLiutao	Mega drop is a kind of amusement ride in many amusement parks. On Jan. 18, 2012, the world’s highest mega drop ride was opened to the visitors on the Guangzhou Tower. The base of the drop ride is about 455 meters from the ground and the top of the ride, at 485 meters. The mega drop have 4 seats separately on the east and west side of the mast of the Guangzhou Tower. The visitors can sit on the east side to experience ‘free fall’ while those on the west side can stand up to do mega drop. It is said that the fastest speed is 80 kilometers per hour. It costs CNY 130 to do the mega drop on the Guangzhou Tower. A combo ticket including entry to the Guangzhou Tower and the mega drop costs CNY 260. To guarantee the visitor’s safety, the mega drop will be stopped during extreme weather conditions like strong wind (the speed reaches 10 meters per second), rain, thunder and lightening. The visitors who suffer from heart disease are not suggested to experience the mega drop.
