Remember to update your residence permit before changing companies, foreigners!

Many foreign workers in China seem to be unaware of this rule that they must go to the Public Security Bureau within TEN days to apply for a new residence permit when they change companies. If they failed to abide by the rule, they would have to reapply for a work visa and residence permit, according to Shanghai Public Security Bureau.
