Declaring Electronics?

Hi there, Newbie to the forum :)

I'm doing my first trip overseas to China on Friday (Woot Woot!) and wanted to ask a quick question- I'm a Uni grad who's right into his photography and have heard that I need to declare all of the electronics I'm taking over with me- My kit includes a Canon EOS 1100DSLR + 2 Lens, Panasonic Compact Camera, 15" MacBook Pro, 12" PowerBook G4, 2x iPhones and an iPad. (Sorry, I'm a nerd :S) They're all used and in used condition, and I have all the original receipts for them. My question is, do I need to declare all of this stuff? Is it going to cause me headaches at customs? And if so, am I better off just not taking so much stuff? (Ahhh, I really would like to take all of my gear with me :) )

Thanks a lot!

GUEST45632 I suggest you declare all your electronics at the customs. According to the customs, passengers are allowed to bring some articles for personal use. I have heard that one person can only bring one camera and one laptop. You bring too many electronics into China. Thus, I suggest you declare all your stuff and tell the customs that they are all for personal use.
