Hi there, I was hoping someone could kindly help me through this visa maze. I'm Irish, currently in Ireland and I have a flight booked to China on the 14th of March. I ideally would like to stay for 4-6 months and if possible without having to exit and re enter. I will be learning Chinese for 3 months and am hoping to travel around China for the next month or so. The school that I will be attending has advised that they will be able to provide me with the necessary documentation to assist with obtaining a business visa. I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to apply for a business visa, which would allow me to stay in China for 4-6 months, without having to leave China and re enter or, if I would have to apply for a double/multi entry visa. Also is it required to have booked a forwarding on flight on entering China/applying for the business visa. If possible I would like to hold out on booking a forwarding on flight, as I'd like to ascertain how long I'd long to stay during the course of my studies.

Any assistance in this regard would be most appreciated.

GUEST13063 I'm not sure, but can a school help a potential student getting a business visa?

Anyway, to get the correct answers, go to your local Chinese Consulate and ask them.
