Spanish media reported that Nadal had set up several companies to trim his tax bill. Nadal issued a statement, admitting the existence of the companies. But he said he gained “no benefit”. Well, the Spanish tax authorities didn’t think so. They started to investigate.

Last fall, Nadal was absent from the Queen’s Club tournament because he can “lose money” if he plays at the club tournament. Why? The athletes are taxed on prize money and appearance fees in Britain.

If it was real, would you feel disappointed at him?

GUEST5524 I am not a fan of Nadal. He has earned a lot of money. The tax is not a problem. Why did he avoid paying the tax? The richer the people are, the meaner they are?
