![]() | A 8.6-magnitude earthquake attacked the city of Banda Aceh in Indonesia on April 11. A tsunami alert was issued after the earthquake. While people in coastal areas rushed to reach higher ground to save their lives, KFC Thailand asked its fans on Facebook to order a takeaway. "People should hurry home this evening to monitor the earthquake situation and don’t forget to order the KFC menu, which will be delivered direct to your hands,” it said. It is clear that KFC Thailand takes advantage of the strong Indonesia earthquake to promote its takeaway. Due to that post, KFC Thailand has been criticized for its inappropriate behavior. KFC Thailand was forced to apologize for the earthquake promotion. Luckily, no tsunami was generated by the earthquakes. How do you feel when you read this? |

![]() | Larry Boy, Any smart companies won't take this opportunity to promote their products. If you make your customers feel hurt, they will not consume your products. I guess that Thai people will love KFC if it gives food to them for free. This is another way to promote themselves. Remember 2008 China Wenchuan earthquake? A Chinese company donated 100 million yuan to help the victims. Then almost all Chines people knew that company. Since then, more and more people have bought their products. It is a successful promotion. |

![]() | The opportunities to capitalize on any situation are worldwide,, which goes from the honest entrepreneur to the scammer. I am not surprised at all when i hear stories like this, as it is common as breathing air. As a whole it is a part of life to partake in opportunity which is both fortunate and unfortunate. If a coworker leaves a company or passes away the opportunity for advancement is ripe for the picking! Nice to speak with you Sunny Dream! Best regards Larry |

![]() | Larry, Here is a Chinese saying "君子爱财取之以道", which means "a righteous man makes money in righteous ways“ in English. However, those businessmen are not rightteous men. They take every opportunity to make money. Most of them acquire money in inappropriate ways. It's nice to talk to you too. Larry. |
