Detection of Venereal Diseases upon arrival to China
Apr 16, 2012 06:16
guest71376 A few years ago I had herpes and warts but have had no recurrent outbreaks since.

I am hoping to go to China in the summer with an F-Visa to teach English and it says one of the conditions for getting a Visa is not having a Venereal Disease.

If I lie on my application and say I have never had any of these infections, is there anyway that the Chinese authorities will be able to detect this is not true when I arrive at the airport i.e. are they able to randomly perform medical tests on me or access my medical records from my home country?

GUEST7642 It is not required to offer a health certificate when you apply for F visa. But you have to offer it when you apply for residence permit to work in China.

I dont think you will be checked at the airport. But you may required to to do a health check at a designated hospital when you apply for the health certificate. It depends on the doctor.

GUEST33222 You do realise that you cannot legally work (paid employment) on an F visa? You need to have a Z visa.
