guest10682 i have heard that a foreign student in china can be blacklisted if he quit the study and he cancel his residence permit and take L visa and then he go back to his home country . is it true? i am asking this because last year i was a student in china at a certain university and i quit the study and i cancelled my residence permit and i took L visa and i returned to my home country. i expect to return again in china for study later in this year, however i have not yet applied for a visa. so i am scared may be i blacklisted because i did so. Also i would like to know the reasons which can make a foreigner being blacklisted in china?

You should not have a problem. You did the right thing in cancelling your X visa/residency permit and getting a tourist visa...very few people do that!!!!
