Accommodation bookings for a Tourist Visa

APAULT Points: Join Date: Mar 11, 2006 Status: offline	It seems many (maybe all) visa issuing offices are now asking for accommodation bookings in order to get a tourist visa. I am looking for various experiences of people who have travelled since 1st Jan 2012 as I only had to list where I would stay, booking were not needed - December in the UK. Useful info would include, where, and what level of booking, eg did they accept a booking confirmation printed from the internet (as they did during the Olympics), if not what? What if you are on a 12 month visa?!! What about if you are going to stay with friends? Thanks for all replies.
