guestLeila	Hello everyone, I would like for anyone with or without experience to try and give me their opinion and/or advice concerning my project. I'm a French 17 year old girl in her last year of high school. I already have applied for studies in France for the next 2 years. I know those 2 years will be very hard and mentally demanding for me, that's why I am thinking of taking a gap year right after. The first country that came to my mind was China; I would love to learn Mandarin (I don't speak it at all) but also learn about Chinese immemorial cultures and lifestyles. I would like to simply live there, doing small jobs, in a foster home maybe. Unfortunately I can't seem to find someone who has already done this as a student, and I also lack the money to simply study in China. Do you guys think that it would be possible? Any advice on how to prepare this kind of trip - a year in China? Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for replying!
