| Greetings to all :D I have applied for the Chinese government scholarship in Hangzhou, and at the time I'm waiting for the response. Anyhow, it doesn't matter if I get it or not, but so far I'm sure China will be the place where I will live and work during the next period. Naturally, I have a handful of questions concerning life in China, but at the time one thing interests me the most - health insurance. If I get the granted scholarship, I believe my health plan would be covered by the university, right? If not, what's the way of getting medically insured? Are there private health funds or is it all state run? How can I use my medical insurance as a foreigner and how much would it cost? What does it cover? How is the health system organized anyway? I know it's a lot of questions, but I hope to get at least some of the answers :) BTW, I've never been to China and I have no experience on Asia whatsoever. I am a graphic designer and a professional photographer. Hopefully there will be work for me... |

| I am a chinese student some years ago ,I would like to tell you my university operation. my information for your reference. my health plan be covered by the university, but the hospital should be appointed by university,. And I need to pay to hospital firstly, then I take some medical document which was issued by hospital to university relative department, and the department return 90% payment to me . for example, If I need to pay USD100 to appointed hospital for healing, the university relative department return USD90 (USD100*90%) to me. You should ask your university for details. |
