| It is acceptable to develop temples for tourism, but I can not agree that temples can be promoted to the stock exchange market. Temples in China, no matter Taoist temples or Buddhist temples, are places where for believers. Tourism has already disturbed them for a long time. Temples are civil and nonprofit organizations as they were in origin, but now in many places in China, they became profitable in the eye of contractors. Entrance fee is expensive if they own great popularity; even we have to pay too much to offer incense. As far as I know, there is no such precedent in other countries. Religious places should be protected and the lawful rights and interests of believers also should be respected. |
