I wish to give you a warning. My best male friend wanted a wife after going through divorce with American woman. My friend found a Taiwanese woman on international dating site. He flew over and proposed after emailing for 6 months. My friend is a large guy and walks with a cane. He is educated and well traveled. She was nice at first. Couple months after marriage in Taiwan, she became abusive. She hit him with fists, spit on him, would not interpret for him, yelled and argued for hours every night. His life became miserable. She would not agree to counseling. After several years he escaped and is in US and in therapy for abuse.

Be careful when you choose a foreign mate. Look into the cultural differences and watch couples in public. My friend's Taiwan wife would hit him and spit on him in public.

GUESTSCUBA	I have heard similar story from an Australian guy I used to date... He told me his Taiwanese wife hit him in front of other people, always demand for money, money money... so he was seeking divorce when I met him, but it did not work out between us anyway.
