My son has lived in China for 3 years and has married a Chinese national and they have one child. He would like to come back to US to live with his family. He owns a home in the US. It seems like an overwhelming prospect. What has to be done to make it all happen? Any help will be appreciated. He is a teacher and she is a doctor (stay at home mom right now).

Thanks!

GUEST89399 I think his first hurdle will be to prove that he can maintain his wife and family in the US without government support. If he is not working he may need a guarantor. Then he will need to apply for a spouse visa.

GUEST00210 You don't have a problem, I don't think. Fill out the INS forms and take a number. They'll get to you in their own good time.
See: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2993.html
If you have already managed to get married then you're already familiar with all the translation and notarization requirements, etc.
If you really need help call Lester at EZVisa (501-776-7606) and he will help you thru the process. He's not free but reasonable. There are many other companies who specialize in spouse visa applications also. It's really not that difficult.
