It's something we share and exchange notes of experience. Maybe you can write your journey and share with us later.

When you think about a trip to China, what concerns you most? I seldom go to private email to share things about China, especially concerning titles or threads posted by members and guests.

Last year, When i visited Shanghai, I was cheated by a travel agent (I do not want to mention name of travel agent). So before going there, research a lot from your end.

There are good travel agents too, but with a few bad apples, they gave bad names to genuine travel agents. Personally I feel you you can tell in the travel traps of such an agent so that other unsuspected visitors won't be hoodwinked by this kind of agent, how and what it has cheated you, etc. that has Shanghaied you.

I searched on the internet and found that there were no direct bus from Beijing to Guangzhou. You can fly or take train from Beijing to Guangzhou. The train ticket is around CNY 450 for the hard berth.

You can use 'Train Search' on TCG to search for the schedules.

Hi Shekina, the distance from Beijing to Guangzhou is around 2300km, as a native Chinese, I do not suggest you to take a bus for such a long way concerning the safety issue, there are always highway bus accidents reported on the TV. From my point of view, it is not safe to take bus for a drive more then 10h. Take trains would be a better way, price of the train ticket is from ¥253-¥1447 ($41-$234) depend on the seat level you choose.Hard berth will cost from around ¥450 ($73), soft berth is around ¥750($122), both are good choices for you to make.
