Train 6417/6418 to be cancelled from July 1, 2012

Train 6417/6418 between Beijing and Chengde will be cancelled from July 1, 2012. It is famed as the cheapest train in Beijing because of the low ticket prices. It just costs CNY 17 from Beijing to Chengde and vice versa. All carriages are equipped with fans instead of air-conditions. That’s why the ticket price is so cheap.

From July 1, train 6417/6418 will be replaced by fast and air-conditioned K7717/K7718. From then on, K7717/K7718 will not stop at Beijing East Railway Station anymore.

Yes. It departs from Beijing Railway Station and arrives at Chengde Railway Station. The ticket price is CNY 41 (hard seat only).
