who knows what the Chinese name is for the Shanghai snack below. Decades ago, it's available for just 3 cents in grocery stores in Shanghai. The magice of it is that whenever you think of the snack, you get watering....the nick name of this snack is mouse poo or nose poo...no kidding.

Gross! What is made of? When I was young, I ate some particles made of preserved orange peel. It looked similar to mouse poo.
