I am trying to find out if there are job prospects for an English speaking Electrician and Network engineer in China ...I am willing to work as an English Translator or work as an English Technical Tutor teacher as I have been working in the Sussex Coast College UK last year.

I class myself as highly skilled and very well educated in my chosen professions gained from decades of academic studies and on site practical hands on experience in numerous industrial commercial and domestic projects and applications.

I am very proud of my high standard of workmanship and professional conduct, achieved through former employment contracts and finalized projects. I have had the pleasure of contributing my time and efforts and skills to produce.

If there are any useful links to my post please email me as soon as possible as I would really like to shear my knowledge and skills to benefit others as well as work and live in China for a while if all goes well god willing.

Regards
Anthony Duval

GUEST74217 I little research on the postings in this site would reveal that China does not need to import foreign workers unless they have a "Special Skill". This is defined as a skill which a Chinese worker cannot provide. China has very high educational standards so these jobs are very few. Probably the only "Special Skill" in demand is foreign language teaching. To qualify for such a post you need to be native to the language, have a degree, a TEFL qualification (or equivalent), two years teaching experience and usually be under age 55.

If you have these qualifications you need an offer of employment from a company or organisation registered to employ foreigners. Only such an establishment can provide the Z visa you will need to work legally. It is illegal to work with any other kind of visa.

Lower requirements may be required for jobs in less desirable areas.
