My wife has kept her Chinese passport, and got a permanent residence card for our country in Europe. Can they legally register us both as the owners of the appartement? Will we be able to get a loan in China? We will pay the biggest part in cash and need to loan only a small amount. (50,000RMB cash + 20,000RMB loan)

It is complicated for a foreigner to buy apartment in China. Those foreigners who want to buy apartments in China should have lived or studied in China at least for a year. As for the loans, I heard that foreigners couldn't get loans at Chinese banks. You may consult with some foreign banks. That's what I know. I am not sure if you will meet any other problems.

Well, you may buy an apartment in the name of your wife. Then she is the owner of the house. CNY 20000 is not a big deal. After you two pay off the loan. You can register the house under your and your wife's name.

I am having a big promble with the same case at now...my wife is a chinese and i have stayed three years in china...i have paid that 3% plus the tax...the people told me that i can buy it..but now for us to go and ask for the loan from their bank they are tossing me from here to there.....i would like to know,from the NEW CHINESE LAW ....can a L visa issued by immgretion for a marriage couple CAN NOT BUY a house? contact me at yahoo.com|scripture316

I could get a loan in China as a foreigner .. but when it comes with other registration Documents .. u got to Dance the music of the Locals ( Hope u understand )..it all depends on the province or city .. they all have different regulations ..
