Chinese consulate in NYC gave me my [working] visa but did not return my other documents

guest12516 Going to China to teach English. The other documents included a letter of invitation and a foreign expert certificate. Will this be a problem? I was in China in 2010-11 and seem to remember needing those documents...

Did you ask them when you got your visa?

I am not sure if you mean the foreign expert Work Permit issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China ? if yes, the orginal Foreign Expert Work Permit you use for Z visa application will be required for Foreign Expert Certificate application after entry.
