Ticket Reservations needed for visa

Single entry tourist visa for China is essential...and told by embassy here that ticket reservations out of the country is needed in order to get the visa- Searching madly for last couple of hours on internet for cheap train or bus tickets to Vietnam (as that is the way I will be going). Pulling my hair out as have no idea of precise itinery in country and dont want to waste money!!! Has anyone come across this problem!!How do you get around it? All I need is a piece of paper with a reservation out of the country- and for this Tuesday... help!!!

CATHERINE Points: Join Date: Feb 11, 2004 Status: Offline	Why don't you just book one or two night's hotel in your entry city in China, like Beijing or Shanghai? Then with the confirmation of the hotel, you can easily apply for your visa ^_^
