Travel to Beijing in cold winter
Aug 20, 2012 20:02
My boyfriend and I are planning a Dec trip to Beijing, but we are having a worry whether the cold weather may spoil our trip? Anyone who have ever been there on Dec can give us some suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Btw, we both want to rent cell phones when we get there, do the hotels usually provide such services? Or, any recommendations on reliabe rental agencies here? Thanks for any inputs!

GUEST43545 Hi Carol,

You may check this page to learn about Beijing weather information:

As far as I know, hotels do not have phone rental service. You must have your own cellphones, right? All you need to do is buy Beijing local SIM cards, put them into your cellphones and then make calls.

When you leave Beijing, you can go to the telecom operator to cancel your SIM cards. It sounds complicated but not difficult to do it. Remember that you need to register your SIM cards with your passports.

Here is another way: go to the post kiosk or news stand and ask them if they sell none registered prepaid SIM cards. If so, buy one and activiate your sim cards and make calls.
