guest55195 Hello everyone. I'm visiting China in Oct 2012, going to Hong Kong, Guangxi, Yunnan and Sichuan. I'm worried about money, since I'm reading that few ATM machines there accepts western cards; does anyone who's been there have any suggestions about cheques, credits cards and cash? Thank you.

In fact, many ATMs support Visa or Master cards. Just have a look at the ATM and see if there are Visa or Master logos. If so, you can withdraw money.

Credit cards are ok. It's convenient to use it in big cities. But better bring some cash if you go to remote areas.
