New Arrival to Hang Zhou

I will be soon living/working in Hang Zhou. I would like to find out more about the city and surounding area such as what to see and do (and not do). Also, if there are other expats living there that have some tips/recomendations about living in China (or Hang Zhou specifically) that would be greatly appreciated!

Hangzhou is not far from Shanghai,Suzhou and many famous water townships such as Tingli,Wuzhen and ZHouzhuang, you may visit these places during your spare time.

Thanks for the tip, but that website seems a bit out-of-date (last updated Jun 2003) and lacking the information. Besides things to do, I was looking for expat housing/serviced apartments (maybe near westlake) which I have been unable to find. If anyone has some personal advice (rather than an outdated website) it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I am looking for some personal recommendations for restaurants and nightlife. Thanks!
