| Many activities like sounding air-raid alarms are held today in China to remind people of the September 18th Incident in1931, when Japanese forces attacked the barracks of Chinese troops in Shenyang, marking the beginning of the Japanese invasion. In the picture below, students are writing their names on the banner, which says 勿忘国耻 (wù wàng guó chǐ), literally meaning never forget national humiliation, to express their patriotism |
