Among those 80 scenic spots, 13 will be open to the public for free. Unfortunately, all these scenic spots are not well-known to the tourists. The famous scenic spots like Yellow Mountain, Terror Cotta Warriors or Jiuzhaigou Valley are not included. Don’t be disappointed. It is said that another 100 scenic spots will lower the entrance fees very soon. Hopefully, some of the famous scenic spots can be included. Guangdong and Yunnan Provinces also adopt new policies to lower the entrance fees for the scenic spots during certain times. Guangdong regulates that tourists who buy full fare tickets for the scenic spots during the holidays of May Day, National Day and Spring Festival will get at least 20 percent discount. Yunnan has decided to lower the entrance fees for the scenic spots by 15 to 35 percent during the holidays of 2012 Mid-Autumn and National Day Holiday.
