Passengers can use 44 public bus lines for free in Chengdu

Suffering from the heavy traffic jam, Chengdu decides to take similar measure like Beijing, restricting the number of the cars on the road according to the last digit on the license plate. The measure will take effect between the second Ring Road and the Third Ring Road from Oct. 8, 2012 to Jun. 30, 2013.

On the other hand, Chengdu encourages people to use public transportation means. Some preferential policies have been announced.

No.1 Passengers who use the subway will get 20 percent discount from Oct. 10, 2012 to Jun. 30, 2013.

No.2 The operating hours of the subway will be extended and more buses will be put into use.

No.3 The public bus lines will connect the subway line 1 and line 2 stations, making convenience for the passengers to transfer between subway and public buses.

No.4 Passengers can use public bus lines on the 2.5th Ring Road and the 3rd Ring Road for free from Oct. 10, 2012 to Jun. 30, 2013.

No.5 Passengers can use more than 30 public bus lines between the 2nd Ring Road and 3rd Ring Road for free from Oct. 10, 2012 to Jun. 30, 2013. Another 10 bus lines in this area will be operated for free too.

No.6 Public bus lines in the main districts will run more frequently and the operating hours will be extended.

Free public bus lines: 137、136、147、105、122、150、156、157、159、161、164、170、177、181、189、191、192、194、200、203、206、210、211、212、214、215、217、222、233、234、238、241、338、146、227、240、243。
