As I am sure most of know the SA rand is not the strongest currency around and since I would love to see China and love to travel I am looking at this option What I really need to know is from any TEFL/TESOL teachers out there what is it like? Do you enjoy doing Teaching? How are you treated? The list keeps going What is a good city to choose as I have a number of offers and was wondering if any one has any recommendations? Hi Taka,
I have been teaching English in China for three years now and love it.
I live in a rural community in Northern Jiangsu and my husband and I are the only foreigners here. We work at a school which goes from new entrants to high school. I teach about 15 hours a week and don't teach weekends. I live on campus in the Foreign Experts building. My house is fully equipped including interent, power, tv etc all paid for. I can choose to eat at the school dining hall for free every day as well, therefore bills etc are practically non-existant. This means that all the money I make is for spending or saving.
I spend most of my holidays travelling around China and still have money to save. Return airfares are included after a years work. I am very well looked after and have never felt the need to change to another school or town.
There are so many wonderful places in China it is hard to recommend any one place, just pick one and go for it, that's what I did.

GUEST43180	Hi all, I will be taking up a TEFL position in Hubei province, Xiantao to be exact. My contract starts early january. I would love any info you can give me on the area in gereral, the nice bits and the not so nice bits!! Thanks in advance!!
