F-visa extension in Beijing
Nov 21, 2012 20:36
guest59174 Im from the Philippines and intended to work in China but since Z-visa is hard to get, I applied for F-visa. To my surprise, they released my visa with 30days maximum duration of stay. I was expecting to have 6months since thats the one I applied for.

I really want to go there but it will be a waste of money If I have to leave after a month. Can I extend my F-visa in Beijing? And how long will the extension be. Im bound to Beijing before December 1 and I need to know reliable information before I book a flight.

Thanks. Hope you can help me.

GUEST87695 You cannot legally work (earn money) on an F visa. If you cannot get a Z visa then you cannot be qualified to work in China.

GUESTJOE Hi, it is possible to get your F visa extended in Beijing, if necessary, use a visa agency if you like. But they may ask much for their service. As above guest said, you need to work on a Z visa in China, so if you get a position, you have to leave and get a Z visa in Philippines.

GUEST4130 Thank you guys for your responses. Appreciate it. My actual purpose there is to work for a school but they cant provide z-visa yet. So they sent an invitation for f-visa and unfortunately the embassy just gave me 30days. So im exploring options to extend my visa til i can get the documents from them. And I also dont want to go home after a month. Any advice?
