I'm a european citizen living in europe with my chinese wife. But we are about to make changes in our life, depending on what is viable.

If we were to go, I would eventually start my own business but until then i would be best described as unemployed. She would look for work in her home town where we would live. We have enough money to last a few years without incomes. So from our
As I understand, first I would have to get a visa to get there. In my case, tourist/familiy visit visa I'd guess.
When in her home town I would have to apply for residence permit. But what are the requirements to get this?
Is it enough being a spouse of of chiense citizen? Do you have provide financial information etc?

Yes, assuming your wife did not give up her Chinese citizenship, you need a family visa to join your wife in China, renewable annually to begin with. Even the spouse of a Chinese citizen is not allowed to work without a Z visa. To obtain one of these you need to have the qualifications and job offer from an organisation licensed to employ foreigners. They cannot employ a foreigner unless he has a skill which a Chinese worker cannot provide.
An entrepreneur's visa to start your own business can mean a very large investment. Probably the easiest way would be to start a business in your wife's name.
