Does anyone know if a US national can get an L-Visa in the China embassy in Prague? Is it one of the embassies that's hyper-strict?

GUESTKYLE I am not sure what is your status in Czech Republic? if you have residence permit there, it is no problem you can get a visa from Chinese embassy in Prague. Or if you are exempted from visa or permit to work or reside in Czech, it is ok too.

Thanks for the reply Kyle. I will be in the Czech Republic as a visitor. It is impractical for me to return to the U.S. before I travel to China, so my best option is to apply in Prague.
I will be working in London, so I think I may have a better chance there, but it means applying sooner than I would like. Alternatively, there's always Hong Kong, but that means flying to HKG instead of PVG, and it sets me back a few days.
Always nice to know these things in advance.

GUEST24212 I'm not an expert, but I think your second best choice (applying at the nearest Chinese consulate to your home being best) will be London.
If you apply in Prague, good chance that you will be denied.
