Symbolic gift question?

guestConfused Foreigner A friend of mine wants to give me a hosen as a gift... I'm not quite sure what it is or what it represents, but I was told it's part of the Chinese culture and he would be offended if I didn't accept it... I don't want to refuse it, as I do see him as a friend. I would just like to know what it means.

GUESTJEFF At least, the friend is your close/intimate friend if he/she gives you a hosen as gift.
