Macau to Shenzhen via Ferry and British passport holder visa issues?

guest12631 Hi, I've read that it's possible for a British passport holder to get into Shenzhen through the Lo Wu border via Hong Kong by purchasing a short term visa but how about directly from Macau to Shenzhen, will I be able to purchase something similar at the ferry terminal in Shenzhen?

I would really like to go direct as I would be wasting most of the day by going via HK.

Sorry, the short-term visa you referred is VOA (visa on arrival). British nationals can not get it according to the related regulations. But someone said they got it after paying a lot of money.
