Many problems with Windows versus Chinese pages

GUNNARF11 Points: Join Date: Jun 10, 2009 Status: offline	There will be more and more error messages about ordinary Chinese side with Windows. These pages I have used for many years and is quite ok. I think China should build its own and better operating system than Windows! Yes or no?

What kind of errors did you meet? Did you encounter any problem when you visit our website?

Windows operating system takes the largest market share in the world. China might be able to develop its own operating system. However, it might be not as popular as Microsoft's windows operating system.

Although I have been using Windows long.

Since 1990. Windows 3.1. 3.11
Windows 95 from 1995.
Windows 98, Windows 2000
then XP, Vista and Windows 7.
Before 1990, I used MS-DOS.

Why should not China be able to develop
another operating system?
An American GPS system existed and was
leading, still constructing China own GPS system.

Linux systems are perceived both faster and safer.
Ubuntu, I have little experience, but may be the
OS I choose next time.

Dear GUNNARF11,

Except the operating system, there might be some other reasons. For example, if the website administrators don't design and develop their web pages very well, their pages will not be compatible with the Internet Explorer.

I am not an expert on computer science. Thus, I can not offer you useful suggestions. But I heard that some foreigners can not read Chinese characters on the web pages because they are not shown correctly. To solve this problem, they have to equip Chinese language package and change the language setting on 'Regional and Language options'.

Linux and OS are excellent. However, you may not be used to it after you have been using MS OS for so long. By the way, I do not know if China is capable and willing to develop a new operating system. Anyway, it's good to try something new.
