![]() | I met a woman who lives here in the U.S. who is from China. She is 41. I have never really asked her this, but I wonder sometimes how she was able to get here to the U.S. She has been here for 2 years. She is a student now but only recently started going to school to be a CNA, She does have a son who is in high school. Whenever I ever bring up her background she very quickly avoids the subject. I don't grill her, but it just comes up in regular conversation. She said she has a VISA but I am not sure how she is able to stay here so long. I like her, but I want to make sure she is being forthright with me about her situation. What are some of the ways that people from China can come here on a VISA and stay here for two years aside from being married to someone which she has not mentioned? She has a house that she owns and car. Do you think she is hiding something? She has just started going to school here in the last 6 months even though she has been here for two years. She lives in a very small town and goes to a community college and is obtaining a 9 week CNA certificate. Do they issue student visas for that? |
