What does the verification code mean when replying other's inquries?

There are somebody who sent me an email by this platform. I tried to reply but there poped out an window showing"reply failed, please enter the verification code"
This made me quite confused.There are mo blank section here showing that I need to fill in the "verification code" in the email replying window. And actually what does "verification code" mean here?
