What should I look to eat in Shanghai?

My next trip is coming up quickly and I will stay for a while in and near Shanghai. What sort of food is this area famous for and can you recommend things I must try?

Nanxiang Steamed Stuffed Bun, Crab-Yellow Pastry, Fried Stuffed Bun, Chop Rice Cake...

I suggest you go to Old Town God Temple Snack Street for a visit. You can taste almost all the local snacks there.
