A friend and I are booked on a Scoopon China Impression Tour this year and I was wondering if anyone has done one already and I would love some feedback about it!!!
One question I would like to ask is - Are the buses used on the tour too hot or too cold - I hate being hot and will take heaps of t-shirts if they are hot - we are travelling in March - also the hotel rooms - are they too hot too - or too cold - I would prefer cold!!!
Thank you.

Where are you going to in China? If you go to Beijing, Tianjin, Harbin and other northern cities, the temperature is still low. The temperature in southern cities like Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen are higher. But you won't feel cold or hot in the bus.

GUEST05226 We are going to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuxi. Suzhou, and Hangzhou -Why do you say that we won't feel cold or hot in the bus???? Are they normally overheated or just normal - and the bedrooms in the hotels - are they overheated, or cold, as I have been told - even the Intercontinental was cold - and I don't mind that - I prefer the cold to the hot!!! Thank you for replying, Helen

It's cold in Beijing if you come there in March. But don't worry. The hotels have air-conditioners. It is warm in Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou and Hangzhou during this time. Generally, you won't feel overheated durin this time.

GUEST05226 Thank you for your perseverence, Laugh - I really appreciate it, but what I am worried about the most is the temperature the airconditioning is set at on the bus and in the hotel room - not the weather - it can be very overheated!!! In China, are the buses and hotel rooms overheated or cold????? Thank you again.

I thought I already gave you the answer. The temperature in Beijing in March is low. But the hotels are equipped with heating system or air-conditioners. It's your choice to turn on the air-conditioners or turn off the heating system.

The public buses are crowded no matter you are in northern or southern cities of China. You might feel a bit hot. Some public buses also have air-conditioners. But I think most of them already turn off the air-conditioners.

GUEST05226 Thank you, Laugh - that is certainly good news that the hotels have do it yourself turn on or off airconditioners or heating systems.

And it was actually the tour buses I was talking about. We are on a tour with China Travel and will have our own tour bus - unfortunately, we will not be having time to try out the public buses.

Thank you so much for your help.

Cheers, Helen
