JANA Points: Join Date: Apr 13, 2004 Status: offline	We recommend an oasis of peace and beauty in the ancient UNESCO MONUMENT City of PING YAO - HOTEL YI DE, where our group of 5 was staying in November 2002. This hotel is in an old Chinese house, as from the film "Raise the red Lantern" (with much character). The hotel is just 1 year open. It was built in 1736-85 during the Qing Dynasty. Everything is clean; rooms are cosy and romantic with TV and hot and cold drinking water supply. Clean private bathrooms with hot water all the daylong. Nice romantic courtyards lit at night by the "red Lanterns". Mrs. Cheng HAIMEI (manager) is a very nice, soft lady, speaks English and can arrange everything. Her family restaurant is spacious & relaxed, far from the crowds , excellent choice of food . An Internet connection is available.
