How to manage with this problem ?

guestBomby Hello, here is my small issue :

I would like to go to China as soon as possible, but I know that tourism visa is only for short stays (~60 days). I wanted to go in Nanjing and apply for a school there.
The problem is, I don't know the date I can have the paper from the school, which I need to get a X-visa (probably around June/July). Is there another possibility to go to China and stay longer than 60 days ?

PS : I asked the embassy and they told me that I can apply a longer stay in China but it's not sure they will agree.

GUESTALVIN Hi, you can apply for a tourist L visa to enter China first. A single entry L can be extended twice in China, with 30 days each. So, I think it is ok if you will get your papers in June or July.

GUESTBOMBY Hi, thank for your response. But I saw on the embassy of my country (France) that L visa can be extanded only once.
Is there no obligation of going out of the territory after these 30 days ? Anyway, I'm trying to manage another way to do that so that's ok I guess ^^

GUEST15333 You can always hop over to HK and get a new visa, before your visa expires.
