Shenzen & Guangzhou Budget Accom.

I'll be travelling to Shenzen (for 2/3 days) and then on to Guangzhou (3/4 days) starting tomorrow.

Could anyone recommend VERY cheap accomodation. I'd prefer a hostel/dorm if possible. My only wish is that i'm located near the centre (i.e. not miles out of town so i have to spend money on transport)

I'd be grateful for any help.

You may choose to live in the hostel in the universities, like Guangdong Industrial University.It is near to both Huanshi Dong and Dongfeng Dong Road and Teem Mall and Tianhe Book Shopping Center.

really? Where exactly is Guangdong industrial university? Guangzhou?

I've spent the last hour searching the internet for cheap accomodation in Shenzhen and have come to the conclusion that there clearly isn't anything under 115RM. That's poor.

yes, it is in Guangzhou. Not far from Guangzhou East Raiway Station.

Price in Shenzhen is higher than that in Guangzhou. Good luck anyway!

What about the youth hostel on Shamian? It cost 50 RMB for a dorm. The metro goes there.

Near the old center of city besides the metro is really convenient.

The university campus hotels are not in the true budget class, I paid Y120 a night for a poor room no towels, in Guangzhou. Phone ahead to the Samian hostel it is usually busy.
