Angela Julie has double mastectomy for fear of breast cancer!

After the genetic testing, Angela Julie learnt that she has BRCA1 gene in her body. People with BRCA1 gene have higher chance of getting the breast cancer. According to Julie, she has a 87 percent chance of getting the breast cancer and 50 percent chance of getting ovarian cancer.

Julie's mother died after fighting against ovarian cancer. Perhaps, it is another reason that Julie decides to have the masterctomy. After the surgery, Julie's chance of getting breast cancer decreases from 87% to 5%. She says she won't be worried that her children will lose her to breast cancer.

In fact, there are many people like Julie who have the masterctomy for the fear of breast cancer. However, they don't tell the public they have done that. Julie, as a famous entertainment star, chooses to tell her story on New York Times.

She has money to do it. I believe most ordiary people can not afford it.
