I am currently in Shenzhen on a F visa but will be switching to another company soon. But needs to apply for another F visa sponsored by my new employer.

The question is am I able to apply for the new F visa while I'm still in China (I;ve got the Letter Of Invitation with me) Or do I have to go back to my home country Singapore and apply for the visa.

Thanks in advance

Newbbie,

Do you work on F visa on Shenzhen? I think it is illegal to do that. By the way, I think you may go to HK to apply for your new F type one.

GUEST20101 To work legally you need a Z visa not an F visa. Only establishments registered by the Chinese government to employ foreigners can provide a Z visa.

you will have to leave as the invitation is from another employer. Unless you manage to convince the person at the counter to do otherwise (which has happened), but I would not rely on that.
