Jun 14, 2013 19:26
guestMr. Meiguoguy Hi I am an American college student in the United States studying business, I have started studying Chinese my 1st year and now am entering my 4th year in college 我学习中文三年了. I want to improve my oral Chinese, I have memorized over 500 characters and can basically read Chinese now.
I am looking to work in China through any means this summer vacation (ends September 1st) and later this Winter from December I get 2-3 months off (I will provide exact dates if you ask), I can teach English, help with business (I am very good at marketing), and anything else you can think of. I need to have a salary that can pay for all the expenses though like the plane ticket, I am not trying to make any money, just enough to survive. I have QQ and Skype, please leave your usernames/ numbers if you can help me, or have any questions.
Thanks and I hope to do business with some of you.

GUEST10153 Hi, I think better find part-time job like Shanghai, Beijing or Guangzhou.
Since those cities have more part-time job opportunities to expats.
Hope you can find your job in China soon.

GUEST20101 I will be surprised if you find a "legal" part time job. To work legally you need to be offered a job by an institution registered to employ foreigners. They are the only people who can provide the means to get the necessary Z visa. You also must offer a skill which cannot be provided by a Chinese worker. Basically this usually means teaching your native language, preferably English. The bad news is that the minimum contract is 6 months. If you go ahead you will need to travel on an L visa which is normally 30 days but can be renewed within China. But if caught you will be fined and deported with a ban in your passport.
