invitation letter from non-chinese worker

Hi,

I would like to visit China and stay with a friend who is not Chinese but currently lives and works in China. Can my friend provide me the invitation letter? Or does the person providing the invitation letter needs to be a Chinese citizen? In other words, can the person providing the invitation be a foreigner living in China?

GUEST5346 Yes, he can send you the invitation letter. But he is required to provide a copy of his passport infor page and Z visa page.
