Tahitian pearls in Beijing?

Any suggestions on purchasing Tahitian pearls in
Beijing? Any idea what the cost of these pearls might
be?

I've been to Beijing last Nov and noticed some souvenir shops selling pearls. The prices range from RMB1000 to RMB 200,000. So many choices made me dazzling. The guide with us said the prices can be bargained and the pearl quality in these so-called "national appointed" shops can be guaranteed.
However, I think it is really a hard work to make a choice among those glamours.
