guest14088 Why would a China based travel agency when asked to book an airline flight from Xian to Hong Kong suggest I could get a better price by buying direct on the internet ? They said their price would be too high. However, they quoted a competitive price from Shanghai to Xian ? Don't understand so appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance.

but normally it would be good to book ticket online in advance(example: ctrip) because you will get more discount

GUEST16138 Acorrrding to my experience ,I think buying tickets on the internet in advance,the price is usually cheaper.as for what you have mentioned ,I don't really understand that .For example ,The one way ticket from Wuhan to Austrilia is 4000RMB .If i choose to fly from Wuhan to HK ,and from HK to Austrlia,I could save 1000RMB.
