A feast without cicadas can't be called a feast. It says that all Yongkang people can consume nearly five tons of cicadas per day. 500 grams of living cicadas cost nearly CNY 60. 500 grams of cicada meat cost around CNY 130. Can you calcuate how much money Yongkang people spend on eating cicadas? I ate fried cicadas when I was in primary school. My dad caught some cicadas and fried for us. As long as I know, people don't culture cicadas but catch them in the wilds. It is difficult to find them in cities.
